Your key duties
Working amongst a team of dedicated, enthusiastic and creative engineering professionals, this role will see you work at the heart of the team ensuring that all operational support runs smoothly and allows our engineers to work to full capacity. Utilising exceptional communication skills, you will confidently get things done and always anticipate what your team needs next. Creativity and an eye for design and detail will serve you well, in this wide-ranging and engaging position.
- Being an all-round administration linchpin for the engineering teams and the main point of contact for all their admin queries
- General administration support from photocopying and scanning papers to typing, formatting and modifying documents, reports, correspondence and spreadsheets
- Liaising with a variety of teams including IT, HR, Finance and Marketing to collaborate and coordinate operations.
- Maintenance of departmental listings, networking in other offices and beyond and signposting for helpful contacts.
- Supporting timely project management and resource planning by ensuring that staff timesheets/expenses are submitted promptly and appropriate staff absences and training are recorded.
- Coordinate, attend and minute group meetings, as well as organising meetings both internal and external
- Managing and coordinating business travel arrangements for the team working with the In-House Travel team and external Travel Management Company
Your skills and experience
- Can-do attitude with an enthusiasm to connect with the team and their work
- Highly organised and natural planner
- Great communication skills whether written in emails or documents, face to face or via phone
- Excellent computer and IT skills including; Word, Excel and experience of using spreadsheets and databases.
- A solid foundation of office experience and a proactive approach to your work
- Working knowledge of InDesign or another design programme would be highly advantageous
